DMCA Copyright Infringement Notice & Takedown Policy

ladki-bahin-ekyc.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond promptly to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) – Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c).

This page explains how copyright owners can report alleged infringement on our website. We take such reports seriously and will remove infringing content expeditiously.

Who can file a DMCA notice?

Only the copyright owner or an authorized representative (e.g., a legal agent or exclusive licensee) may submit a valid DMCA infringement notice.

If you are not the rights holder but believe content on our site infringes someone else’s copyright, please contact the rights holder directly and encourage them to file a notice.

What information must your notice include?

Under the DMCA, a valid notice must contain all of the following elements (otherwise we may be unable to process it):

  1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorized agent.
(Typed name with “/s/” or a scanned signature is acceptable.)
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
Provide sufficient detail: title, publication date, URL of original work, registration number if applicable, or any other specific identifier.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing on our website, including information reasonably sufficient to locate it.
At minimum, provide the full URL(s) of the page(s) containing the alleged infringing content. General descriptions like “the article about eKYC on your homepage” are not sufficient.
  4. Your contact information – name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A good faith statement that you believe the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
Example: “I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
  6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Example: “I declare under penalty of perjury that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.”

⚠️ Important: Knowingly materially misrepresenting that content is infringing may expose you to liability for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

What happens after we receive a valid notice?

Upon receiving a compliant DMCA notice, we will:

  1. Remove or disable access to the specified content expeditiously.
  2. Notify the user (content contributor – though our site is not user-generated; in our case, if we republished something by mistake, we will contact the source).
  3. Provide a counter-notification procedure (see below) for anyone who believes content was removed in error.

We also keep records of all DMCA notices for compliance and, if necessary, to provide to copyright claimants or law enforcement.

Counter-Notification – If you believe your content was wrongly removed

If you are the owner of content that was removed (or disabled) following a DMCA notice, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification.

To be effective, a counter-notification must be in writing and sent to our Copyright Agent (same contact above) containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside the USA, to the jurisdiction of any US court in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice or their agent.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Misuse of the DMCA process – A warning to scrapers and bad actors

We actively monitor for duplicate, scraped, or AI-generated content that may violate third‑party copyrights. Content scrapers are not welcome here.

  • If we find that you have copied our original guides (e.g., our step‑by‑step eKYC explanations, unique phrasing, or original graphics) without permission, we will file DMCA notices with your hosting provider, domain registrar, and search engines.
  • Conversely, if you file a false DMCA notice against original content that belongs to us, we reserve the right to seek all legal remedies, including damages under Section 512(f).

We respect legitimate copyright claims – and we expect the same respect in return.

Repeat infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Since our website does not have user accounts or registration for posting content, “termination” would mean blocking access to our site from IP addresses associated with repeated infringement or scrapers.

We also reserve the right to report systematic scraping or abuse to law enforcement.
